PM Navigator (“the Application”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a project management methodology reference tool available at pmnavigator.io. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights in relation to that information.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and responsibly. This policy is written in plain language so you know exactly where you stand.

2. Who We Are

PM Navigator is operated by an individual developer based in Ireland. As such, this application is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.

3. What Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you register your interest in the full version of PM Navigator, we collect:

• Your email address — provided voluntarily via our early access sign-up form

We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, or any payment information at the free tier stage.

3.2 Analytics Data (Plausible Analytics)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use PM Navigator. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics service that is fully GDPR-compliant. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. The data collected includes:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• General geographic region (country level only, not precise location)
• Browser type and device category (desktop or mobile)
• Referring website (if you arrived via a link)

No individual user is tracked. No data is shared with advertising networks. You can review Plausible’s privacy practices at plausible.io/privacy.

3.3 Hosting Infrastructure Logs (Vercel)

PM Navigator is hosted on Vercel’s infrastructure. As with all web hosting services, Vercel automatically collects standard server access log data when you visit the application. This may include:

• Your IP address
• Date and time of access
• Pages or files requested
• Browser type and operating system

This data is retained by Vercel in accordance with their own privacy policy and data retention practices. We do not directly access, control, or process this log data. You can review Vercel’s privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

3.4 Payment Data (Stripe) NEW

In the course of processing your payment, Stripe collects and processes:

• Payment card details (card number, expiry date, CVV)
• Billing name and address
• Email address associated with the transaction
• IP address and device information for fraud prevention

Stripe acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes your payment data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. Stripe is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider — the highest level of payment security certification available.

By completing a purchase you acknowledge that your payment data will be processed by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

4. What We Do Not Collect

We want to be explicit about what PM Navigator does not do:

• No advertising or ad tracking of any kind
• No third-party advertising networks or ad SDKs embedded in the Application
• No Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tags, or affiliate tracking scripts
• No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing purposes
• No profiling or automated decision-making based on your usage
• No collection of sensitive personal data (health, financial, political, biometric, etc.)

5. How We Use Your Information

The email address you provide is used solely to:

• Notify you when the full version of PM Navigator becomes available
• Send you a one-time early access offer when paid access launches
• Communicate important updates to the application (infrequently and only when relevant)

We will not send you unsolicited marketing emails or share your email address with any third party.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:

• Consent — when you voluntarily submit your email address via the sign-up form, you are giving us explicit consent to contact you about PM Navigator. You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing privacy@pmnavigator.io.
• Contractual necessity — when you make a purchase, processing your order and facilitating payment through Stripe is necessary to perform the contract with you.
• Legitimate interests — for aggregated, anonymised analytics data that helps us improve the application without identifying individual users.

7. Data Retention

Email addresses collected via the early access sign-up are retained until the full version of PM Navigator has launched and all early adopters have been notified, after which addresses will be deleted unless you have explicitly opted in to ongoing communications.

Analytics data collected by Plausible is aggregated and anonymised and contains no personal data.

Payment transaction records are retained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable financial regulations. We retain only the minimum transaction reference data necessary for our own records.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
• Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to object — object to our processing of your data
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold. Email addresses are stored securely via our email service provider. We do not store payment card information. All payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

10. Children’s Privacy

PM Navigator is designed for professional project managers and is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the application evolves. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this document. For significant changes, we will notify registered email subscribers directly.
